DANBURY, Conn. – The Mount Saint Mary College women's volleyball team lost in its road match at Western Connecticut.

Mount Saint Mary had a tough match in front of them against 9-3 Western Connecticut. The Knights struggled in the opening set, as the Wolves jumped out to a 15-4 lead over the Mount. Jonaiya Williams finally woke the team up towards the end of the set with a kill followed by an ace, as the Knights went on a 6-1 run, but it was too late. WestConn would go on to win the first set 25-13.

The Knights got off to a hot start to begin set two with services from Vanessa Seymour, taking advantage of some mistakes by the Wolves as they led 8-2. WestConn stormed back to tie the set 10-10 before taking the lead from the Mount. The Knights were unable to replicate their start to the set as the Wolves took control and were in the driver's seat the rest of the way, winning the set 25-18.

The Mount needed to respond in the third set if they were to stay alive. They went down early and stayed in the set, but were unable to formulate a run. The Knights were unable to score more than two points in a row, even though Ava DiScala controlled the front court with 4 blocks this match. WestConn would go on to win the set 25-13 and the match 3-0.
