Rapid Recap
Mount Saint Mary is riding a hot streak and looked to stay undefeated in Skyline play as they took on Sarah Lawrence. From the opening whistle, the match was a defensive battle, with both teams finding limited opportunities. Goalie Noah Horn had a perfect performance for the Knights in goal, making not only multiple key saves but also commanding the defense. In the 40th minute, Marco Mazzarelli put his boot to the ball in the bottom right-hand corner and nearly put one on the board for the Knights, but the Gryphons keeper made a great save, as we went into the half scoreless.

The Mount came out of halftime on attack mode, securing multiple scoring chances in the opening minutes. Quinn Tynan had a great look in the 50th minute, but was quickly closed out on by the Sarah Lawrence goalie. Moments later, TJ Mark nearly scored, placing the ball just underneath the keeper and hitting the post. It was clear the Knights were hungry for a goal, and their chance to score would come after a handball just outside the Sarah Lawrence box in the penalty arc. Quinn Tynan got the nod for the shot, and he buried the ball into the bottom right corner to give Mount Saint Mary the lead. The Knights were energized and were not just going to play back, but instead held their defensive line, and their forwards pressured the Gryphons. This tactic paid off as Mount Saint Mary came away with the win 1-0 over Sarah Lawrence.
