Rapid Recap
Mount Saint Mary College entered today's match against Mount Holyoke hungry for a win as they participated in the Vassar College Quad. The Lyons started off the first set with the lead, but did not hold it for long. A 7-0 run for the Knights was started by some great services from

MSMC stumbled out the gate of set two, but
Vanessa Seymour, who led the Knights with 14 assists, sparked their offense with a kill. The Lyons still held the lead 7-6, and from there, began to take over.
Julianna Simone tried to breath some life back into the Knight's offense as they trailed 16-9. A couple of aces from
Jaylyn Knight made it 17-13, but that's the closest they would get. Mount Holyoke would go on to win the second set 25-17.
The Knights opened up the third set capitalizing off some mistakes from the Lyons to take an early lead. Mount Holyoke would go on a bit of a run to go up 10-7 before Mount Saint Mary scored 6 unanswered.
Julianna Simone,
Nicolette Pirro, and
Brooke Lavelle would all provide some offensive firepower to take back the lead. The Knights fought hard to stay in this set knowing it was win or go home. Down 21-18, a 5-1 run for Mount Saint Mary helped them go up 23-22 and a chance to win the set. Unfortunately, the Knights were unable to close out the set and lost 26-24.
