Rapid Recap

Mount Saint Mary College was playing in its first Skyline Playoff game under Head Coach Trevor Purcell and this roster. Liam Horan got the nod on the bump for the Mount, as he looked to continue on with his career-best season. Frank Signorelli got the Knights started with a leadoff single in the bottom of the 1st and they would get two runners on, but a flyout ended the inning. In the bottom of the 2nd, Aidan Marshall started off with a single, then Tyler Crocitto singled to center field that turned into an error, a run, and Crocitto ending up on third. Stephen Volk hit a sacrifice fly to center field to score Crocitto and put the Knights up 2-0. The Privateers responded in the top of the 3rd with a run of their own to make it 2-1. Mount Saint Mary would open up their lead in the bottom of the 4th, starting with singles from Crocitto and Volk. Noah Anderson walked, leading to a Frank Signorelli 2 RBI single down the left field line. Christian Parisa would also single and drive in 2 runs to put the Mount up 6-1.

Freshman phenom Christian Parisa hit yet another 2 RBI single to add to the Knights lead in the bottom of the 6th. Horan continued to deal, not allowing Maritime to to score any more runs. In his first career playoff game, Horan would go the distance, allowing only 1 earned run, with 6 strikeouts, 6 hits allowed, while throwing a whopping 133 pitches, not bad for a one-pitch pony. Chris Calvario opened up the bottom half of the 8th with a single, and Parisa recorded his 5th RBI of the day to score Calvario. Mount Saint Mary would ultimately beat Maritime 9-1 to advance to the Skyline Conference Semifinals.
