Rapid Recap
The Mount Saint Mary men's lacrosse team looked to win their first Skyline Conference game as they took on Purchase College on Wednesday evening. Senior midfielder Larry Frank got the Knights rolling, scoring his first of a season-high five goals a few minutes into the first quarter. The Knights kept the pressure high and the goals rolled in quick. Chris Murolo added two of his first career hat trick back to back off of assists from both Frank and Joe Keating. Purchase was unable to settle down with the Mounts constant pressure. Larry Frank added his second of the game after Purchase capitalized on a man-up opportunity.

The Knights erupted as they scored a season-high seven goals in the second quarter. Carter Laughman won the faceoff and charged down the field to score his first career goal. The Knights saw a season-high eight different goal scorers in tonight's matchup. Devin Lanzer and Larry Frank scored back to back with passes from Joe Keating who shuffled out a career-high four assists. The Knights defense was strong as usual with their leader Kenny Leen stopping ten of the Panthers shots including his 500th career save. Tim Doyle, Chris Murolo, and Joe Keating added another three goals for the Knights. But Bobby DeSantis completed the second half with his first of his first career hat trick off the face-off for the FOGO goal as the final seconds came off the clock.

The second half started the same way the first half finished with a goal by Bobby DeSantis. The Knights didn't let up and kept catching Purchase on their heels. DeSantis and Frank both added two a piece after Purchase was able to add one to the scoreboard. Purchase saw a season-high 43 shots from a wide range of Knights. The fourth quarter started with sophomore attackman Austen Torres scoring his first career goal. Purchase added two more on man-up opportunities but didn't see much success past that. The Knights captured their first Skyline win by beating Purchase 17-3. Mount Saint Mary looks to carry this momentum into the weekend as they celebrate the Class of 2025 on Senior Day against the University of Mount Saint Vincent at 1pm.
