LAFAYETTE, Pa. - The Mount Saint Mary College track & field teams competed in the Lafayette Invitational Saturday afternoon.
Men's
Senior
Jordan Wallace set a new program record in the 100-meter with a time of 11.26 seconds. He also competed in the 200-meter race, where he placed 28th at 23.38 seconds.
Senior
Michael Gillespie raced in the 400-meter, finishing 28th at 56.36 seconds. He also placed 32nd in the 200m with a time of 23.66 seconds.
Freshman
Robert Port placed 34th in the 100-meter with a time of 11.84 seconds. Port also ran a personal-best 24.18 seconds in the 200-meter.
Sophomore
Joseph Carmona competed in the 1500-meter, coming in 35th with a time of 5:26.68.
Women's
Junior
Maria Baldwin set a new program record in the 200-meter at 27.53 seconds, which she previously held at 27.77 seconds. She came in 13th in the 100-meter with a time of 13.45 seconds.
Junior
Sarah Kannenberg placed 3rd in the 5000-meter with a time of 23:32.18.
Junior
Lily O'Brien finished 8th in the high jump with a height of 1.36 meters. She also competed in the triple jump, where she placed 13th at 9.45 meters.
Junior
Kaitlin Hansen placed 22nd in the 200-meter as she finished at a personal-best 30.10 seconds.
Freshman
Michaela Stack raced in the 1500-meter placing 33rd with a time of 6:10.18
The Knights next meet will be at the the William Wright Invite in New Haven, Connecticut on Saturday, April 12th, starting at 10:00 AM.
