Mount Saint Mary got two runners on with two outs in the top half of the 1st after a single from
Luke Barone and a walk for
Tyler Van De Bogart. The inning would end with a strikeout as
Michael Di Tullio would take the mound in the bottom of the 1st. Di Tullio's only earned run of the game would come this inning with an RBI single, but would escape with the bases loaded.
Frank Signorelli would score
Tyler Crocitto in the top of the 2nd with a fielder's choice to tie things up 1-1.
In the top of the 4th,
Noah Anderson would knock a triple, scoring
Stephen Volk from first and electrifying the Knights bench.
Frank Signorelli followed up with an RBI single as Mount Saint Mary now held a 3-1 lead. Nothing much would happen until the bottom of the 7th when Gordon started to rally by taking the lead right from the Mount and going up 4-3.
The Knights answered the call in the clutch as
Shane Finch got the team going with a pinch-hit single. Who else but
Noah Anderson in this game would single to score
Alex Nalewajk from second base to tie the game back up.
Chris Calvario hit a big-time single to right center to score 2 runs and put the Mount back up 6-4.
Gregory Osterhout, who came in from the bullpen in the 7th, was an ice-cold killer on the mound, not allowing a runner to reach base and striking out four in 2.1 innings. Osterhout would come away with the win as the Knights defeated Gordon College 6-4 to extend their win streak to 3 games.
