Rapid Recap
Mount Saint Mary headed to The Bronx to play their final game of the regular season. The Knights already had the #2 seed locked up for the Skyline Conference Playoffs coming into this game. Brianna Guglielmo got the Mount on the board with a couple of free throws early on. A Lauren Petrie three-pointer assisted by Guglielmo gave the Knights the lead. Guglielmo had a career-high 6 assists the game prior and matched that this game against the Dolphins. After Mount Saint Vincent tied things up 7-7, Mount Saint Mary would go on an 8-2 run to close out the first quarter. The Knights struggled in the second quarter, not scoring a field goal until halfway through when Angelina Donato made a layup to tie it up 19-19. They went just 2 of 12 from the field in the second, getting outscored 19-6 as they trailed 28-21 heading into the half.

The Knights were going to have to play better in the second half if they wanted to close out the regular season with a win. They were able to make a few shots early on starting with Maggie Trinkaus, but defensively they could not stop the Dolphins. The Mount would go into a drought on offense, allowing Mount Saint Vincent to go up by as much as 20 in the third. The Knights had a big hill to climb as they trailed 50-33 with 10 minutes remaining. An and-one layup from Erin Lofaro got the team started in the fourth, yet that would be all for Mount Saint Mary until the 3:50 mark. They held the Dolphins to just 36.36% shooting in the quarter but had a hard time scoring themselves as they would lose to Mount Saint Vincent 62-43. The Knights will host the winner of Manhattanville vs. Mount Saint Vincent on Thursday night at 7:00 PM in the Skyline Conference Semi-Final.
