NEWBURGH, N.Y. – Mount Saint Mary College men's basketball could not overcome their early deficit in a loss to Manhattanville.

Connor Cyran would score a couple of buckets to finally get the Mount into some sort of rhythm.
Daniel Herzner checked in and provided some much-needed energy for the Knights with a block and a hustle play that led to a
Ryan Graham three. Manhattanville would call a timeout and continue to stay hot on offense as they shot 61.11% from beyond the arc in the first half. The Knights trailed by as much as 27 in the first 20 minutes of play and were going to have to play much better defense in the second half if they were going to stand a chance. They played well offensively, shooting 42.86% from the field, but trailed 53-30 at the half.
The Knights were a much different team coming out of the half. They forced the Valiants to go 0-12 from three and just 7-25 from the field in the second half. They picked up the intensity as
JP Egan got the Mount going with a three.
Ryan Graham had some crafty plays this game as he showed off his athletic ability to lead the Knights in scoring with 19 points once again. Mount Saint Mary continued to battle, but Manhattanville seemed to score when they needed it the most. The Knights were never able to cut their deficit to single digits, making the score 74-62 Manhattanville late in the game. The Mount was able to outscore the Valiants 32-23 in the second half, but their slow start cost them as they were never able to overcome the deficit as they would lose to Manhattanville 76-62.
