NEWBURGH, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College women's basketball team celebrated its 2024-25 Skyline Championship with an honorary ring ceremony before its match with Sarah Lawrence.

Mount Saint Mary honored the 2024-25 Championship team with a ring ceremony prior to today's game with Sarah Lawrence. The returners from last year,

Brianna Guglielmo, all received their championship rings along with the 7 returning graduates from last year. The Knights' pregame energy quickly translated onto the court once the game got underway.
Sara Cashin got the scoring going for the Mount as she had a season-high 19 points this game. Mount Saint Mary started off on a 10-2 run, attacking the paint from the jump.
Brianna Guglielmo hit the first three ball for the Knights with 1:36 left in the quarter, but they did not need the three today as they led 25-13 after the first.
The Mount did a great job crashing the glass on both ends of the court as they out-rebounded the Gryphons 50-26 and had 21 offensive boards.
Sara Cashin,
Brianna Guglielmo, and
Maggie Trinkaus would combine for 30 of the team's rebounds this game. The Knights scored 10 straight points to start the second quarter, forcing a Sarah Lawrence timeout.
Gabby Ziegenbalg would check into the game and quickly knock down two three pointers on back-to-back possessions to put them up 45-27.
Maggie Trinkaus would start off the quarter scoring the first two buckets for the Knights, including an and-one.
Angelina Donato got into the action, attacking the glass as the Knights' starting 5 was putting the pressure on Sarah Lawrence.
Reese Mayer would finish off the quarter with a lay in as the Knights led the Gryphons by 30 points, 74-44.
The Mount stumbled a little bit offensively in the 4th quarter as they did not score a made basket until a
Jenny Lopez steal and score with 4:17 left.
Gabby Ziegenbalg was a perfect 7-7 from the free-throw line as she continues to show off her big-time shooting ability.
Grace Christie would thread the needle to
Jaelynn Walker down low, adding to the Knights' many highlights this game. Mount Saint Mary would end up winning this match-up with Sarah Lawrence, 85-58.
