Rapid Recap
Mount Saint Mary came into this game looking for its first victory over Bard since February 6th, 2013, after losing 5 straight to the Raptors. The Knights came out swinging in their first game of the Hudson Valley Classic with Brenden Graham finding Rob Geremino for a three as part of a 9-0 run to start the game. The Mount held Bard scoreless until the 14:19 mark of the first half, and even after this, Mount Saint Mary still continued to roll on both ends of the court. The Raptors slowly crept back into the game, cutting the Knights' lead to 26-22 with only a couple of minutes left in the half. JP Egan helped fuel the Mount this evening behind a career-high 14 points and giving them a 9-point lead after 20 minutes of play.

The Knights held Bard to just 7-32 from the field in the first half, but they were going to have to continue to execute if they were going to win this one. The fouls for the Mount quickly stacked up as the Raptors were in the bonus with 15 minutes still left in the game. Several key reserves stepped up big for Mount Saint Mary, including Liam Lynch, who had a career-high 10 points, and Soren Holmbo, who added 7 points and a career-high 5 rebounds in just 10 minutes. The Raptors clawed their way back into the game and took advantage of the Knights' foul troubles, cutting their deficit to just one point with 3:44 to play as the Mount led 52-51. JP Egan hit a clutch and-one, and Rob Geremino followed that up with his third three-pointer of the game on the following possession. The Knights clamped down on defense and hit their free throws when it mattered the most as they won a tough battle with Bard College 62-55.
