Rapid Recap
Mount Saint Mary held the 6th seed heading into their road match with Maritime as the Knights look to get back to the Skyline postseason for the first time since 2022. Cam Welsh put the pressure on the Privateers with the first shot on goal. Moments later, in the 22nd minute, Ryan Kieser would draw first blood off a pass from Ethan Wallace to put the Knights up 1-0. It wouldn't take long for Maritime to find the equalizer on a through ball to tie the match 1-1. The Mount Saint Mary defense was not accustomed to allowing many goals, as they have not allowed more than 2 in a match all season, but would allow 2 in a 7-minute span as Maritime led 2-1 in the 41st minute. 59 seconds later, Jeremy Burgos found Jack Hoffman, who would put the ball in the back of the goal to make it a 2-2 game heading into the half.

This match seemed like it was going to be an offensive shutout, but both defenses and keepers buckled down in the second half. The Privateers put a lot of pressure on the Knights with 14 shots, including 7 shots on goal in the half. Noah Horn stepped up big time for the Mount, saving all 7 of the Maritime shots on net. In the 75th minute, Marco Mazzarelli nearly gave Mount Saint Mary the lead, but the Privateers' keeper just got a hand on the ball, pushing it wide right of the net. Both squads had their chances in the second half, though neither team was able to capitalize, ending the game in a 2-2 draw.
