Mount Saint Mary hosted Farmingdale State College for a big Skyline Conference match-up. Each team traded small runs, but it was evident from the get-go that
Julianna Simone was ready to play. A couple of kills from
Nicolette Pirro, who also had her best match at the Mount to start her career with a season-high 12 kills, helped the Knights take a 12-10 lead. Mount Saint Mary's offense exploded from here, only allowing 4 points for the Rams and dominating the remainder of the set to win 25-14.
The Knights did not get off to the best start to open the second set, as Farmingdale went up 9-4. They would bounce back later in the set, cutting their deficit to just one, 16-15. The Mount hung in there, as it was evident this set was going to come down to the wire. Up 21-20, the Rams scored the last 4 points in the set to tie the match up 1-1.
Farmingdale once again jumped out to an early lead in a pivotal third set, 10-4. A kill by
Nicolette Pirro sparked a run for the Knights, as Pirro would also serve as partof a 5-0 run to make it 12-10 Rams. Mount Saint Mary hung around, but were never able to get closer than two points as Farmingdale took the third set 25-19, and all the momentum heading into a potential game-clinching fourth set.

Julianna Simone, and
Jonaiya Williams, the Knights finally got out to the good start they needed and led 7-3. After the Rams tied the game 8-8, the Mount would score, and
Aubriana Boyce would sub in to serve. She helped spark yet another MSMC run that put them up 13-8. Mount Saint Mary would hold the lead for the rest of the set, not letting the Rams get back into the set with any sort of run. The Knights won the set 25-21 and forced a fifth and final set.
The Mount got off to a red-hot start, scoring 9 of the first 12 points in the final set. Just when the Knights thought they had the game in the bag, Farmingdale came storming back to cut their deficit to just 2 points, 12-10. Mount Saint Mary seemed to settle back in after a timeout, but the Rams were not going away. With a 14-13 lead and at match point, who else but
Julianna Simone would score the final kill off an assist from Vanessa Semour to win the set 15-13 and the match 3-2. Simone not only had a career-best 23 kills (7 more than her previous best) but also recorded a career-high 22 digs, showing her versatility on offense and defense.
