Rapid Recap
Mount Saint Mary celebrated its Senior Day for its eight seniors on the roster: Noah Horn, Sam Bevevino, JC Gutierrez, Ryan Kieser, Marco Mazzarelli, Ryan Alvarado, Quinn Tynan, and Jack Hoffman. From the opening whistle, the Knights dominated the game of possession. The Knights more than doubled the Rams' shot attempts, 17-8, and doubled their shots on goal, 8-4. The Mounts' first legit attempt came in the 25th minute, when TJ Mark had a great look in front of the goal, but just couldn't get it past the keeper. The Knights continued to create offensive chances, as Jeremy Burgos was inches away from a goal in his return from injury after his header hit the post. The score would be 0-0 heading into the half, but the Knights felt great about their play in the first 45 minutes.

Early on in the second half, Farmingdale got the one good chance they needed and scored off a cross in the 55th minute to take a 1-0 lead. The Knights did not falter and continued with the same intensity they had all game. Marco Mazzarelli created the big chance the Mount needed in the 64th minute, drawing a foul in the box for a penalty kick. Mazzarelli buried the equalizer on the attempt, and Mount Saint Mary was right back in the match. The Knights weren't satisfied with coming away with another draw and looked to push the pace. Jack Hoffman nearly put the Knights ahead minutes later as he was wide open in front of the net, but was unable to get the ball clean off his foot. This was a physical match that came down to the wire as both squads looked for that go-ahead goal. Mount Saint Mary and Farmingdale were both unable to find the back of the goal in the closing minutes as this match ended in a 1-1 draw.
