Rapid Recap
Mount Saint Mary wasn't able to get much going in their match against Ithaca College. Ithaca came out strong in the first half and caught the Knights on their heels. The Mount struggled to create any chances early on. In the 17th minute, the Bombers got their first goal of the game. Ithaca continued to control the pace offensively as the Knights attempted to form a counter. The Bombers put another goal in the back of the net minutes later to extend their lead to 2-0. The Knights' defensive unit kept their hopes alive with a solid performance by graduate goalkeeper Christina Kakavas. This was Kakavas' first game back after injury as she made three big saves in the first half. A foul in the Knights' 18-yard box would award Ithaca a penalty shot that they would convert to lead the game by three goals. Faith Welsh was able to get a shot on goal for Mount Saint Mary to round out the first half.

The Bombers came out hot to open the second half of play, they put a fourth goal in the net during the 54th minute of the match. The Knights lacked chances offensively as they were only able to record one shot for the remainder of the game and none on goal. Nothing seemed to be going the Mount's way as Ithaca kept pushing hard offensively through the second half. Maria Baldwin prevented the Bombers from scoring when she made a save on the goal line. Kakavas made four more saves in the second half to prevent the Bombers from putting any shots into the back of the net.
