Rapid Recap
The Knights traveled just across the border to Scranton, Pennsylvania to face Marywood University. Mount Saint Mary was looking for a bounce-back game after their loss Saturday afternoon. Neither squad could get a hold of any offensive chances early on as both defenses were stout. Returning after missing the last game was sophomore Grace Morra who created a good opportunity for the Knights with a shot on goal that was saved by the Pacers keeper. Mount Saint Mary goalie Christina Kakavas had yet to be tested in the first half until the 40th minute when she stopped a ball placed into the top right corner. Off the bench, Delisianna Naccarato looked to break the stalemate before the half but was denied.

Early on in the second half, the Pacers were creeping in on the Knights doorstep. Back-to-back corner kick attempts were turned away by the Mount Saint Mary defense, but moments later Marywood would break the scoreless tie and take the lead 1-0. The Knights were unable to get anything on net and it looked like they were going to be shut out for the second straight game, but in the 85th minute, freshman defender Kaelyn Greene struck a beauty of a set shot from nearly 25 yards out to come up clutch for the Knights and tie the game with less than five minutes to go. Greene has been a huge addition to the Mount Saint Mary back line this season and her first career goal could not have come at a better time. Some disputes on foul calls in the closing minutes had fans on the edge of their seats as there was a chance for a penalty kick, but one was not awarded and the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
