Mount Saint Mary wasn't able to get much going in their match against Skidmore College who put two goals in the back of the net in the first three minutes of the game. The Thoroughbreds came out strong and fast in the first half and caught the Knights on their heels. Mount Saint Mary struggled offensively throughout the first half putting only one shot on goal. Skidmore continued to control the pace on the pitch as the Knights attempted to form a counter but were unsuccessful. The Knights' defensive line was put to work all game, with backs

Maria Baldwin playing the entirety of the first 45 minutes. Skidmore put 11 shots on goal in the first half while Mount Saint Mary only had one.
The Thoroughbreds came out hot once again to open the second half of play. They put a fourth goal in the net during the 53rd minute of the match. The Knights had a few more chances offensively as they were able to record five shots on goal in the second half. Skidmore put one final goal into the net in the 80th minute of the match. Mount Saint Mary would lose this tough match by a score of 5-0. The Knights look to come back from this defeat as they enter Skyline Conference play tomorrow evening when they take on Yeshiva University on the road at 5 pm.
