Rapid Recap
Mount Saint Mary was looking to build off their picture-perfect victory over SUNY Canton this afternoon, and they did just that. Only 48 seconds into the match, Junior Ryan Alvarado buried a shot into the back of the net. The Knights continued to fire shots on goal, recording five more shots within the first 20 minutes of action. Things got a little bit chippy as both teams were shown yellow cards moments later. Junior Ryan Kieser would sub into the match in the 31st minute and make his presence felt immediately. Kieser tallied the Knights's second goal of the match off of a pass from Marco Mazzarelli to give Mount Saint Mary a 2-0 lead.

The Mount continued to control the tempo, with Quinn Tynan extending the lead for the Knights just over a minute into the second half. Mount Saint Mary kept their foot on the gas, applying pressure to the York defense and not letting their keeper get comfortable. In the 57th minute, Quinn Tynan converted his second goal of the match. The Knights relied on everyone in this one as it was truly a team effort with 19 players seeing action. Reigning Skyline Conference Offensive Player of the Week, Marco Mazzarelli finally got on the board in this match as he was assisted by Quinn Tynan to make the score 5-0. Minutes later, sophomore Elijah Duprey got his chance and took it, converting a penalty kick to score his first career goal as a Knight. It was a day of firsts, as the freshman-to-freshman connection of Jeremy Burgos and Carson Macur capitalized to record their first career points. The Knights would win the match by a final score of 7-0. Senior goalie Caesar Martinez recorded his second clean sheet of the season.
