NEWBURGH, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College men's soccer team suffered yet another defeat 4-0 to St. Joseph's Long Island.

The Mount looked to prove themselves against the Golden Eagles of St. Joseph's Long Island, who is undefeated in conference play. Things got physical right from the jump, as both teams tried to take control of the game. St. Joe's would capitalize first, scoring a header off a corner kick to make the game 1-0 in the 7
th minute. The Knights locked in defensively after this and did not allow a goal for the rest of the half. Mount Saint Mary struggled to produce any offensive chances as they were not able to register a shot on goal in the first 45 minutes.
Right out of the half, the second of five yellow cards would be dished out, as the match continued to be more hands-on. The Golden Eagles extended their lead in the 47
th minute to go up 2-0. St. Joe's scored yet another goal to make the score 3-0 in their favor.
Elijah Duprey got a solid chance to score coming off the bench but wasn't able to get enough pace on the ball to get it past the keeper. St. Joe's goalie had yet to be tested really in the match as almost every shot the Knights took was placed off target. The Golden Eagles would tack on an insurance goal to walk away with a 4-0 victory over Mount Saint Mary.
