Rapid Recap
The Knights came out the gates hungry after suffering a brutal defeat to SUNY Poly the week prior. Just over a minute into the match, Ryan Alvarado would feed Robert Tansey into the box who placed the ball underneath the keeper to put Mount Saint Mary up 1-0 early. It didn't take long for the Rams to respond as they tied things up around the 15-minute mark. Both teams scored their first shots on goal, but keeper Caesar Martinez made sure Farmingdale did not score on their second. A few minutes later, Quinn Tynan led Ryan Kieser up the left sideline who crossed a ball into Ryan Alvarado, seamlessly scoring to take the lead back 2-1. The Knights forfeited another goal to the Rams three minutes after as the score was 2-2 midway through the first half. Both squads were kept in check for the remainder of the half as this one looked to be a high-scoring affair.

Mount Saint Mary came out flat to start the second half allowing two straight corner kicks that led to a Farmingdale goal. The Knights could not recover, as the Rams were able to possess the ball for the majority of the last 45 minutes. In the blink of an eye, the Mount was down 5-2 and things were not looking good. The Knights struggled to gain offensive momentum the entire second half only mustering a handful of chances. Farmingdale would cap the game off with another goal and win the match 6-2.
