Newburgh, NY- The Mount Saint Mary College Knights Men's Lacrosse team fell to the Farmingdale State Rams by a score of 20-8 on Saturday afternoon in a Skyline Conference matchup.
Despite a strong showing in settled situations, as acknowledged by Head Coach
Justin Lorenzo's post-game statement, "We lost the transition battle but played great in settled situations, this was a good test for us as we move further into conference play," the Knights were unable to overcome the Rams' dominance in the transition game.
For the Knights, attackman
Joe Keating had a four-goal day, while midfielder
Larry Frank chipped in with three goals and an assist.
The Knights struggled on face-offs, winning just 11 of 30 attempts. They also committed 25 turnovers compared to Farmingdale State's 19. However the Knights defensive was impressively successful at clearing the ball going 18-22 on clears, as well as gathering up 32 ground balls.

The Knights will look to bounce back on the road against Manhattanville University on April 9th at 4:00 pm.
