Frank Leads Knights With 5 Goal Win Over Golden Eagles

Newburgh, NY- In a dominant performance tonight, the Mount Saint Mary Knights (2-8) emphatically ended their winless drought with a decisive 16-2 victory over Saint Joseph's University (L.I.) (1-8) on their home field.
The Knights' offense exploded for a season-high 16 goals, led by a remarkable five-goal performance by attacker Larry Frank. Midfielder Joe Keating also had a stellar game, contributing a hat trick. Midfielder Devin Lanzer and attacker Kaleb Pullis each chipped in two goals to round out the offensive surge.
The Knights wasted no time establishing control, racking up four goals in the opening quarter. They continued their offensive dominance throughout the game, outshooting the Golden Eagles by a significant margin of 54-33.
"Great team win," said Head Coach Justin Lorenzo after the game. "We need to keep this energy going into Maritime on Saturday night." This emphatic victory will undoubtedly boost the Knights' confidence as they look to build a winning streak. Their next challenge comes on Saturday, April 20th, when they travel to take on SUNY Maritime at 7 PM.
Dominant Performance on Both Ends of the Field
The Knights' victory wasn't solely fueled by their offensive outburst. Their defense played a crucial role in shutting down the Golden Eagles' offense. They held Saint Joseph's (L.I.) to a mere two goals and limited their scoring opportunities throughout the game.  Goalie, Kenny Leen had 12 saves on the day in a near perfect outing.
Looking Ahead
With this convincing win, the Mount Saint Mary College Knights have shown signs of a turnaround. They will look to carry this momentum into their upcoming matchup against SUNY Maritime on Saturday. A victory over Maritime would solidify their return to form and propel them forward in the conference standings.
