The Knights Fall to Hawks in a Blanket of Fog

Newburgh, NY- The Mount Saint Mary College Men's Lacrosse team (0-3) fell to SUNY New Paltz (1-3) in a closely contested game on Wednesday, March 6th by a score of 11-3. Spectators and players alike had a hard time seeing what was going on during the game as the field was played through a thick blanket of fog and a constant pounding rain.

Head Coach Justin Lorenzo acknowledged the challenges faced by the Knights, stating, "It was a hard fought battle, injuries to key players early in the game forced us to make adjustments, I can't be any prouder of my team in how we stayed composed and battled till the end."

Despite the loss, several Knights shined individually. Junior midfielder Tim Doyle found the back of the net for his second collegiate goal, while senior attacker Xavier Rodriguez and senior midfielder Kaleb Pullis each contributed a goal. Freshman face-off specialist Sean Chocallo went 7-16 on face-offs, while sophomore goalkeeper Kenny Leen made 11 saves in net.

The Knights will look to bounce back on Saturday, March 12th, when they travel to Hartwick College for a 7:00 PM game.
