Madison, NJ- The Mount Saint Mary College Knights Men's Lacrosse team (1-5) picked up a much-needed win on the road defeating FDU-Florham (0-6) by a score of 11-7.
Despite falling behind early, the Knights battled back throughout the game. Â Ending the first half of the game down by one, Coach
Justin Lorenzo urged his team to keep fighting and to press the attack.  The Mount responded… in a Big Way.  They went on a run they haven't been able to pull off all season.  Going from 5-4 deficit at the start of the third to a 9-6 lead at the end, they had the momentum and kept it rolling into the fourth.  Again, outscoring their opponents 2-1 in the fourth, giving them the first win of the season.  Â
Offensive Explosion
Leading the offensive charge for the Knights was attacker
Xavier Rodriguez, who netted a game-high four goals. Midfielder
Tim Doyle and attacker
Larry Frank each chipped in two goals, while midfielder
Kaleb Pullis and attackman
Chris Murolo added one goal apiece.
Henry Micyk contributed the lone assist for the Knights.
Defensive Stand
The MSMC defense held strong throughout the contest, forcing turnovers and contesting shots. Â Goalkeeper
Kenny Leen made 14 saves in net to earn the win.
Looking Ahead
The Knights will look to build on this momentum as they return home to face Farmingdale State College on April 6th at 3:30 PM.
