Plattsburgh, NY- The Mount Saint Mary College Knights men's lacrosse team fell to the Plattsburgh State Cardinals 7-3 in their season opener.

Game Summary:

The Knights got off to a slow start, initially falling behind 2-0 in the first quarter until Hayden Mitchell scored the lone goal for the Mount. Plattsburgh went on to  extend their lead to 4-1 in the second quarter.

The Knights rallied in the third quarter, outscoring Plattsburgh 2-1. Joe Keating scored both goals for the Knights, both unassisted. Unfortunately, Plattsburgh added three more goals in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.

Key Performers:

Joe Keating: Led the Knights in scoring with two goals.
Hayden Mitchell: Scored one goal for MSMC
Kenny Leen: Made 14 saves in goal for the Knights.

Looking Ahead:

The Knights will look to bounce back in their next game, which is scheduled for Saturday, March 2nd at home against Marywood University.
