NEWBURGH, N.Y. — Women's swimming hosted the United States Merchant Marine Academy, Sarah Lawrence College and SUNY Maritime for a Skyline Conference quad meet this morning. The Knights won against SUNY Maritime (108-56) and lost to the United States Merchant Marine Academy (147-46) and Sarah Lawrence College (101-82).
Meghan Wurster held her own in the 1000-yard freestyle, starting the meet off with a second-place finish at a time of 11:51.01.
Cayla Nicholas finished in second for the 100-yard freestyle (58.46) and third in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 26.62.
Grace MacHugh had some high finishes as well, swimming to second in the 200-yard individual medley (2:28.21) and second in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:13.99).
Stefanie Sommer also picked up second in the 500-yard freestyle at a time of 6:43.55.
The Knights are back in the pool next weekend for the two-day College of Staten Island Invitational. The first session kicks off at 5:30 PM on Friday November 22.
