FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College women's soccer team lost to Farmingdale State University 2-0 in a Tuesday night Skyline Conference matchup.

The Knights came out energized in a highly anticipated Skyline Conference matchup with the Rams of Farmingdale. The ball was back and forth early on in the midfield and neither team could take control. Once they got into the groove of things, Farmingdale was dominant on offense and put 11 shots on goal during the first half. The Knights had a few offensive attempts but struggled to connect passes in the midfield. The Rams were able to break through and capitalized off of a free kick to lead 1-0 going into halftime.
The Knights struggled to possess the ball to start off the second half. Farmingdale came out quickly and continued to put a lot of pressure on the Mount. The Rams put a second goal in the back of the net a few minutes into the half to lead 2-0. Farmingdale continued to put shots on goal but goalkeeper
Christina Kakavas made many big saves to keep the Mount in the game. Kakavas finished the match with a season-high 11 saves. The Knights hit the road once again as they prepare to take on Manhattanville at 3 PM Saturday.
