Rapid Recap
The Knights went down early on as the Gryphons had a 9-4 lead. Mount Saint Mary struggled offensively and was unable to score back-to-back points until late in the set. The Mount went on a 5-1 run that included kills from Jonaiya Williams and Sofia Fredericks, but it was ultimately too late as Sarah Lawrence closed out the first set 25-15.

Fredericks got the Knights going in the second set with an ace as both teams traded points. The Gryphons slowly crept ahead and created a seven-point cushion 13-6. Battling back, Julianna Simone cut the deficit to two after a kill to make the score 18-16 Sarah Lawrence. The Knights fell back into a hole down 23-17, but yet again crawled their way back out to make the score 23-21. After a timeout, the Gryphons recouped and were able to take the last two points of the set and win 25-21.

Mount Saint Mary was on the edge and the team could feel it. They came out locked and loaded for the third set taking an 8-5 lead after kills from Jonaiya Williams and Julianna Simone. The Knights continued to produce and led by as many as seven when they went up 18-11. Sarah Lawrence did make it competitive though scoring four unanswered to make it 18-15. The Mount responded with a 4-0 run of their own in hopes of taking set number three. The Gryphons fought hard, but the Knights were able to get the last point to hold off a Sarah Lawrence comeback, winning the set 25-23.

Mount Saint Mary looked to gain momentum heading into the fourth set as things were tight to start off. Different Knights were getting involved in the offense as Ava DiScala tied the set up at 8-8 with a kill. An absurd 15-1 run for Sarah Lawrence pretty much put a halt on any hopes of a fifth set as the Gryphons led 23-10. The Knights scored a few more points but the deficit was just too much to overcome as they lost the set 25-13, and the match 3-1.
