Mount Saint Mary did not mess around today as they dominated the entire match.
Julianna Simone,
Brooke Lavelle, and
Emma Wetzel provided instant offense for the Knights as they started off with a 4-1 lead. A 10-0 run that included four aces from
Erin Lema made the score 14-2. Medgar Evers was no match for the Knights' attack as they closed out the first set on a 7-0 run to win 25-6.
The Mount jumped out to a commanding 11-0 lead thanks to some great services from
Aubriana Boyce including four aces from her as well. The Cougars tried to claw their way back into the set, but the Knights did not let their foot off the gas. Everyone played well for Mount Saint Mary as
Isabella Montemagno ended the second set on a 6-0 run. She had three aces during her service run to win the set 25-7.
The Knights could not let up if they were going to sweep the cougars and boy did they not! Up 4-2,
Ava Robles entered the game to serve as Mount Saint Mary would score 16 straight points, with six of them being aces from Robles. The Mount handled their business this evening as
Jonaiya Williams finished the match off with three aces in a row to win the third set 25-4 and the match 3-0.
