STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Women's swimming traveled to Staten Island, N.Y., today to compete against the College of Staten Island and Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham. The Knights fell to CSI (123-73), and FDU-Florham (153-49).
The 200-yard medley relay team of
Stefanie Sommer ,
Ruvarashe Gondo,
Cayla Nicholas and
Kate Cerven kicked off the meet, swimming to third place with a time of 1:59.95.
Meghan Wurster had the sole win of the afternoon in the 500-yard freestyle, with a time of 6:02.20. She had the next-highest swim in the 1000-yard freestyle, placing second (12:27.44).
Grace MacHugh held her own in the 200-yard individual medley, placing third with a time of 2:34.99.
Cayla Nicholas had top-three finishes as well, taking third in the 50-yard freestyle with a 26.40 and the 100-yard freestyle at a 59.52.
Up next, the Knights will head to John Jay College this Wednesday for a non-conference matchup at 6 PM.
