Rapid Recap
The Knights traveled to Brooklyn, New York as they played the Bears of St. Joseph's Brooklyn. Center-back Odirlei Thomaz made his return to the field for Mount Saint Mary after a two-game absence. The Mount tried to get started early as Marco Mazzarelli had his shot in the bottom right-hand corner saved. Mazzarelli, coming off a three-goal performance last game, looked to continue that success against the Bears. The Knights would not be the first team on the board as St. Joe's Brooklyn netted back-to-back goals in the 20th and 22nd minutes to take a 2-0 lead. Mount Saint Mary would only register one more shot for the remainder of the half with none on goal.

If they were to complete a comeback, the Knights would have to get rolling offensively. The defense did their part in the second half not allowing a single shot on goal from the Bears. The offensive woes for the Mount carried over into the second half as they were unable to get any shots on goal through the first 25 minutes. In the 70th minute, J.C. Gutierrez stepped up big for the Knights by scoring to cut their deficit to one. Less than two minutes later, Gutierrez secured another scoring chance, but this one was saved by the Bears keeper. Mount Saint Mary had a last-ditch attempt to tie the game, but the Knights ran out of time as they fell 2-1 to St. Joseph's Brooklyn.
