Newburgh, NY — This afternoon, Mount Saint Mary College Men's Soccer took on Sarah Lawrence College through wind and rain at the Kaplan Field. It was a hard-fought battle for the Knights, but the matchup ultimately ended in a 2-3 fall to the Gryphons.
Jake Kwong broke through the Sarah Lawrence defense to secure the Knights' first goal, with an assist from
Liam Hughes.
Marco Mazzarelli then assisted
Peter Ramirez to another goal late in the second half, keeping the Knights alive on the scoreboard.
Caesar Martinez had a strong showing throughout the game, with a key save in the second half to hold the Gryphons back racking up 5 saves total. Midfield
Quinn Tynan also showed a respectable effort, challenging the Sarah Lawrence men across the field at every opportunity.
Looking ahead, the Knights will travel to Farmingdale State College to face the Rams in another Skyline matchup this Wednesday evening at 7pm.
