Salisbury, MD- Tournament Recap
Game 1 Day 1- MSMC vs Salisbury University
The Knights took on the Salisbury University Sea Gulls in the first match of the tournament. Facing off against the hosts, the team struggled in the first half. Allowing 4 goals in the first 45 minutes, Coach Lyn mad the appropriate changes at half time and got the team back on track. During the first half the Sea Gulls had 10 shots on goal, in the second half the defense stepped up and only allowed two. On the other side of the field, MSMC doubled their offensive attacks on the opponent's net.
Lily Tanko lead the team with 4 total shots (2 on) and
Mary Langan had 6 saves on the day.

Game 2 Day 2 MSMC vs St. Mary's College of Maryland
This was the Battle of the Saint Mary Colleges as The Knights took on the Seahawks in the second game of the invitational. This game was close from start to finish. With an early goal allowed, followed by a deadlock of a match.  The remaining 82 minutes of the game was back and forth battle, each team trying to gut out a win.Â
Each member of the team stepped up and did their part.Â
Mary Langan saved 7 of the 8 shots on net, seeing a total of 18 shots. The starting 11 combined for 6 shots, and the women off the bench provided an additional 4 attacked on the opposing goal.
The Knights will return to action at home this week on Wednesday as they take on the New Paltz Hawks at 7pm.
