Farmingdale, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Baseball team earned a Skyline Conference split at Farmingdale State Sunday afternoon, falling in game on 8-2 before stopping a five-game losing streak with a 12-6 game two triumph.
Jack Goodwin (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) finished the Mount's victory with four hits and three RBI.

Sunday's split moves Mount Saint Mary to 7-20 overall on the season and 3-7 in Skyline Conference play with Farmingdale State going to 12-11 and 4-5 in league action.

How It Happened
- The Rams jumped out to a 6-0 lead with single runs in the second and third innings before plating four runs in the fourth frame.
- Louis Annuziata clubbed a solo home run in the second with Bobby Pollock putting the Rams in front 2-0 with a run scoring single in the third.
- Annuziata added an RBI base hit in the big fourth with Nolan White doubling in a run and Ryan Wasserman finishing off the scoring in the inning with an RBI single.
- Mount Saint Mary got its only two runs of the game in the top of the fifth inning.
- Anthony Laietta (North Massapequa, N.Y.) scored the team's first run on an error before Anthony Franco (Franklin Square, N.Y.) came home on a double off the bat of Aidan Marshall (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.).
- Leading 6-2, the Rams put the final two runs of the game on the board when Pollock delivered two runs with a double.

- Brandon Nolasco (Chester, N.Y.) went 2-for-3 in the opener for the Knights.
- Goodwin finished 1-for-3 with a walk.
- Marshall produced the only other hit for the Knights and drove in a run.
- Franco and Laietta each scored a run.
- Matthew Borriello (Montgomery, N.Y.) worked a complete game in the loss, allowing eight runs on 12 base hits.

How It Happened
- The Rams got off to another quick start with runs in the first and third innings to open a 2-0 lead.
- Trailing by two runs, the Knights got a run in the fourth, four runs in the fifth and three runs each in the sixth and seventh innings.
- Marshall cut the Mount's deficit in half when he ripped a doubled to push home Devin Tait (Staten Island, N.Y.) to make the score 2-1.
- The Knights surged in front in the fifth with four runs. The Knights scored two runs on wild pitches in the inning with Franco doubling home a run and Tait pushing home Franco with a run scoring single.
- Adam Leona (Wallingford, Conn.) scored on a wild pitch in the sixth with Franco forcing home a pair of runs with a single to make the score 8-2.
- After the Rams pulled to within 8-4 with two runs in the bottom of the sixth, the Knights moved in front 11-6 with their three-run seventh.
- With the bases loaded and two outs, Goodwin laced a triple down the right field line to clear the bases.
- Mount Saint Mary closed out the scoring in the game with an RBI single off the bat of Franco in the top of the night.

- Goodwin went 4-for-4 with two doubles, triple, two walks, two runs, a stolen base and three RBI out of the leadoff spot.
- Franco finished the win 3-for-6 with a double, run scored and four RBI.
- Tait recorded two hits, including a double, adding two runs and an RBI.
- Marshall went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI.
- Leone finished 2-for-5 with two runs scored.
- Tyler Corcitto (Staten Island, N.Y.) posted a hit and a run scored.
- Brian Gregory (Florida, N.Y.) earned the win with 8.0 solid innings. He surrendered five earned runs on 12 hits while striking out one.
