Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Baseball team continues an eight-game road trip with visits to Bridgewater State on Tuesday and league rivals Maritime and Farmingdale State over the weekend. Devin Tait (Staten Island, N.Y.) continues to lead the Mount offense with a .338 batting average covering 65 at-bats, pacing the Mount with 22 hits and tying for the team lead with 10 RBI.
Anthony Franco (Franklin Square, N.Y.) joins Tait with a team-high 10 RBI and is hitting .277 on the season with seven of his 18 hits going for extra bases.
Brandon Nolasco (Chester, N.Y.) leads the Knights with 14 runs scored and six doubles, while
Jack Goodwin (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) has crossed with 13 runs to go along with eight RBI.
Brian Gregory (Florida, N.Y.) and
Matthew Borriello (Montgomery, N.Y.) lead the pitching staff for the Knights with Gregory holding a team best 2.83 earned run average covering a team-high 35.0 innings. Gregory has fanned 13 batters to date and holds a 2-3 record.
Borriello is 2-1 on the mound for the Knights over seven starts and is working to a 4.50 earned run average in 32.0 innings pitched. Borriello has fanned 14 opponents batters and allows just a .242 batting average against.
A Look At Bridgewater State: The Bears own a 16-7 record through 23 games and have won eight of their last 10 outings, but dropped a MASCAC series to Framingham State last weekend. Each game was a shutout, with the Bears losing the first and last games, 15-0 and 3-0, while posting a 12-0 victory in the middle game of the series.
The Bears are hitting .312 as a team and feature four players with at least 60 at-bats hitting at least .300. Riley Thornell checks in with a .418 average in 67 at-bats, totaling 28 hits and 21 RBI. Kevin Lindsay is hitting .360 over 75 turns at-bat and has swiped a team-high 15 bases.
Jay Wladkowski supports the offense with a .324 average, ripping six doubles and driving in 18 runs with Scott Emerson hitting .306 on the season with 31 runs scored, 17 RBI and 10 stolen bases.
Shane Handrahan holds a 3-0 record and is working to a 0.64 earned run average, striking out 16 batters is 14.0 innings of work. Matt Joselyn is 4-2 on the season and has worked 37.1 innings and holds a 2.89 ERA while fanning 42 hitters and allowing opponents just a .221 batting average.
As a staff, the Bears are working to a 5.16 earned run average and allow opponents to hit .279. The Bridgewater State staff has fanned 174 hitters in 178.0 innings.
Recent History: Tuesday's meeting will be the first between the two sides since they split two games in Cocoa Beach, Fla. in 2008. The Knights posted a 3-1 victory on March 16 before the Bears scored a 17-3 triumph two days later.

Maritime enters Saturday's conference set hitting .336 as a team and has clubbed 20 home runs, featuring seven players with at least two round trippers.
Jaden Shea is hitting .403 to lead the Privateers with 25 runs scored, five doubles, a triple, two home runs and 20 RBI. Matt Milone paces Maritime with 21 RBI and has gone deep four times with 15 of his 19 hits going for extra bases.
Freddy Forgiona is hitting .333 with 10 doubles and two home runs with Anthony Madigan driving in 20 runs, scoring 24 times while hitting .348. Rob Copozzi checks in with a .319 average with 21 runs scored, 20 RBI, three doubles and three home runs.
Matthew Demme leads the pitching staff with a 2.67 earned run average and holds a 4-1 record. Demme has pitched 27.0 innings and fanned 34 batters while allowing opponents to hit just .200. Shane Sullivan has pitched a team-high 36.1 innings and has a 2-0 record to go along with 40 punch outs and an opponent batting average of .203. Recent History: Maritime and Mount Saint Mary have met 24 times since the start of the 2008 season with the Mount holding a 14-10 record. Previewing Farmingdale State: The Rams enter a Saturday set with USMMA at 10-9 overall and 2-3 in conference play and are coming off a 23-7 midweek victory over John Jay on April 5.
Chris McGuggart is hitting an impressive .419 over 62 at-bats, totaling 26 hits, 12 runs and 11 RBI. Jordan Lambert checks in with a .417 batting average, with five doubles, and has scored 17 runs to go along with 13 RBI.
