Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Baseball team returns to the diamond for the first time since February 19 Wednesday evening when it plays host to Albertus Magnus at Dutchess Stadium and will remain at home Friday afternoon when it welcomes New Jersey City University to 'The Dutch' Friday afternoon. Live Stats will be provided for both Wednesday's 5:30 p.m. game with the Falcons and Friday's 1:00 first pitch with the Gothic Knights.

Devin Tait (Staten Island, N.Y.),
Jack Goodwin (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) and
Anthony Franco (Franklin Square, N.Y.) are the only players to have started all three contests for the Knights and are the top three hitters for the Knights heading into Wednesday's contest.

All three players are tied for the team lead in hits with four, with Tait hitting .444 with a run scored and three RBI. Goodwin checks in with a .400 batting average and two runs scored and Franco is hitting .364 with a run scored.

Brandon Nolasco (Chester, N.Y.) went 2-for-4 in game one against the Eagles with a pair of doubles and is tied with Goodwin for the team lead in runs scored with two.

Matthew Borriello (Montgomery, N.Y.) and
Brian Gregory (Florida, N.Y.) have each worked 4.0 innings to date to lead the pitching staff with each holding a 4.50 earned run average. Borriello is allowing opponents just a .214 batting average through one appearance and Gregory leads the team with two strikeouts.

A Look At Albertus Magnus: The Falcons have played just once coming into Wednesday's game, falling to Mitchell 11-0 on March 2.
Jason Sullivan is one of three players with a hit, ripping a double against the Mariners with Bobby Arent drawing a pair of walks in the season opener.

Recent History: The two programs have met 15 times since the start of the 2008 season with the Knights holding a 9-6 record. The two teams have split the last four matchups, with the Mount scoring a 16-5 road win in the last meeting on April 13, 2022.

Scouting NJCU: The Gothic Knights enter a Thursday contest against John Jay with a 3-1 record and are coming off a 17-9 victory over Moravian on Tuesday.

Ricky Voss is hitting an impressive .706 covering 17 at-bats. Voss has totaled 12 hits, three for extra bases, to go along with seven RBI and six runs scored. Josh Hernandez is hitting .611 and blasted three home runs leading to a team-high 13 RBI and 15 runs scored. Nick Vaughn is hitting .526 with five runs scored and eight RBI.

Ali Pompey holds a 1-0 record and worked to a 2.70 earned run average over 6.2 innings. Paul Tannucilli has worked a team-high 11.0 innings and holds a 2-1 record and fanned a team-high 10 batters.

Recent History: Friday's meeting will be just the eighth between the Knights and Gothic Knights since the start of the 2012 season and the first since March 4, 2020. NJCU holds a 5-2 record in the series, but the Knights took the last meeting 15-5, stopping a three-game skid.
