Milton, Mass. – The Mount Saint Mary College Men's Lacrosse team suffered a 15-4 road loss at non-conference foe Curry Saturday afternoon.
Maxwell Green Wright (Central Islip, N.Y.) scored a hat trick for the Knights while
Kenny Leen (Mille Place, N.Y.) made 25 saves in goal for the Mount.
Saturday's loss, the Mount's fourth straight, drops it to 2-4 overall on the season while Curry wins its third straight decision and evens it overall record at 4-4.
How It Happened
- Mount Saint Mary got off to a quick start, scoring three of the first four goals of the game.
- Green Wright scored back-to-back goals just under three minutes apart in the first quarter to push the Knights in front 2-0.
- After Curry got on the board at the 5:27 mark of first period, Mike Travers (Staten Island, N.Y.) finished off a pass from Joseph Angelillo (Pompton Plains, N.J.) with 3:53 left in the quarter to nudge the Knights back in front by two goals.
- Pat Modoono got the Colonels to within a goal with 14 seconds left in the opening stanza with the goal starting a 14-goal run for Curry.
- Nick Perfetuo scored in the first minute of the second stanza to knot the score at 3-3 before Dom Cerone got Curry in front for good in the game at the 12:20 mark.
- Brody Dalzell scored what proved to be the game winning goal with 11:21 left before halftime to give the Colonels a 5-3 advantage.
- Curry outscored the Mount 10-0 over the second and third frames to carry a 12-3 advantage into the final quarter.
- Curry scored the first three goals of the final period to balloon its lead to 15-3 before Green Wright closed out his hat trick in the closing seconds of the contest.
For The Knights
- Green Wright pushed his team lead in goals to 12 and points to 17 with his scoring output. Green Wright added a groundball and a caused turnover in the game for the Knights.
- Travers scored his sixth goal of the season and pushed his season point total to 13.
- Angelillo recorded his first point of the season with his assist and led the Knights with eight groundballs in the game. Angelillo closed the day tied for the team lead with two caused turnovers.
- Matthew Esposito (Manorville, N.Y.) totaled two caused turnovers and three groundballs.
- Tim Doyle (Selden, N.Y.) finished with two forced miscues and a pair of groundballs.
- Ryan Olmstead (Millbrook, N.Y.) collected four groundballs.
- Anthony Paggiotta (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.) won nine face-offs and secured two groundballs for the Knights.
- Leen posted a career-high 25 saves in the game, tying him for the third highest save total in a game in program history. He added four groundballs in the contest for the Mount.

- Dalzell led Curry with three goals in the game, adding two groundballs.
- Perfetuo and Stephen Stackhouse each posted two goals and two assists.
- Modoono scored and goal and joined Connor Bryant with two assists.
- Mac Kline closed a three-point game with two goals and a helper.
- Anthony Lewis finished the victory with two points and a game-high 10 groundballs.
- Nick Flanigan won seven face-offs and secured two groundballs.
- Curry used three goalies in the game with Austin Brown making five saves in 45 minutes of work.
