Newburgh, N.Y. – Grace Riddle (Wantagh, N.Y.) totaled 40 kills over two matches on Saturday as the Mount Saint Mary College Women's Volleyball team pushed its winning streak to four matches. The Knights overcame a first set loss to Baruch in a 13-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-20 win over the Bearcats before sweeping Delaware Valley 25-19, 25-15, 25-23.
Saturday's results move Mount Saint Mary to a match over the .500 mark at 5-4 overall on the season.
Mount Saint Mary 3 – Baruch 1
How It Happened
- After being held to just six kills in the opening frame, the Knights responded with nine winners in the second set.
- After jumping in front 15-10 in the second set, the Knights saw Baruch score five straight to knot the score at 15-15.
- Following an Erin Lema (Centereach, N.Y.) kill to put the Mount in front 16-15, the Bearcats ran off five more points to surge in front 20-16.
- The Knights answered with the next six tallies, including kills from Riddle and Lema, to grab a 22-20 advantage.
- Baruch would pull to within a point with a winner of its own before the Knights scored the final three points of the set, capped by an Angelyse Orellana (Newark, N.J.) ace to even the match at 1-1.
- Mount Saint Mary hit .308 in the third frame to jump in front 2-1.
- After grabbing a 21-15 lead on a Mary Milano (East Patchogue, N.Y.) winner, the Knights saw Baruch put together a 7-2 run to pull to within 23-22.
- The Mount closed out the set with a pair of Baruch miscues to grab the one set advantage.
- Both teams put away 12 kills in the final set, with the Knights taking advantage of eight Baruch attack errors.
- Leading 20-18 in the deciding set, the Knights scored five of the final six points to close out the win. Riddle keyed the closing run with a trio of kills.
For The Knights
- Riddle put away a season-high 24 kills for the Knights, hitting .489 in the victory. She closed out a double-double with a team-high 12 digs.
- Lema put away six kills for the Mount, adding five digs and an ace.
- Fran Cammarata (Carmel, N.Y.) handed out a season-high 30 assists and rounded out a strong match with 11 digs and an ace.
- Jenna Cullinan (Levittown, N.Y.) lifted 10 digs and led the team with three aces.
- Ava DiScala (Seaford, N.Y.) paced the Knights with two blocks.
For The Bearcats
- Sarah Chung put away 12 kills and lifted 15 digs.
- Jenna Perkowski led the team with 13 winners and hit .308 in the match.
- Fernanda Zamora led all players with four aces.
- Minami Ebihara lifted a match-high 18 digs and chipped in three aces.
Match Statistics
- Baruch finished with a slim 41-38 advantage in kills, but the Mount hit .209 as a team compared to .115 for the Bearcats.
- Baruch controlled the service game with a 13-8 edge in aces.
- Total team blocks in the contest were even at 3-3.

How It Happened
- The Knights got off to a quick start in the second match of the day, recording 11 kills in the opening stanza while taking advantage of 10 Aggie attack errors.
- The Knights overcame a 10-9 deficit with a 7-0 run highlighted by two kills from Riddle and a trio of aces from Lema.
- The Knights grabbed a 24-15 lead on a Cullinan ace and after a four-point run from the visitors, the Mount took advantage of an attack error to take the 1-0 advantage.
- The Knights opened the second set up early, scoring the first 10 points. Lema sparked the run with five service aces.
- Cammarata gave the Knights a 22-10 lead with a kill before a Sabrina Romano (Glen Cove, N.Y.) kill pushed the Knights in front 2-0.
- In the final frame, Riddle gave the Knights a 15-11 lead with a kill before Delaware Valley scored the next eight points to open a 19-15 lead.
- After falling behind 21-18, the Knights strung together four straight points, keyed by two kills from Riddle to pull in front 22-21.
- Delaware Valley scored two of the next three points before the Mount got a Mackenzie Warmoth (Wallingford, Conn.) winner and an attack error to close out the sweep.

- Riddle posted 16 of the team's 28 kills against the Aggies and lifted eight digs. Riddle now has 917 kills in her career and is just 76 shy of equaling the program's all-time record.
- Lema finished with four kills, 12 digs and a career-high nine service aces.
- Warmoth totaled four kills in the victory and recorded two blocks.
- Cammarata closed her second double-double of the day with 23 assists and 14 digs while adding two aces.
- Krista Gross (East Northport, N.Y.) equaled the match-high with 14 digs.
- Romano put away a kill and posted two more blocks.
For The Aggies
- Olivia Deffendall led the Aggies with 12 kills and chipped in 11 digs.
- Alexandria Engelmeyer put away three kills, contributed two aces and lifted 11 digs.
- Grace Wilson led the team with 14 digs.

- Delaware Valley closed the match with a 33-28 advantage in kills, but committed 13 more attack errors than the Knights.
- Mount Saint Mary dominated the service game with a 13-5 advantage in aces.
