  • Devin Tait (Staten Island, N.Y.), who also singled in the inning, came home on an error with the team's second run ahead of a run scoring single from Jack Goodwin (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) that delivered Robert Brust (Shirley, N.Y.) with what proved to be the deciding run.
  • Purchase got a run back in the bottom of the fifth on an RBI double from Cameron Cruz and got a run closer in the sixth when Jason Sebastiano singled home a run with two-outs.
  • Purchase put the tying run in scoring position in the bottom of the seventh, but Michael DiGiovanni (Shirley, N.Y.) worked around a two-out error to earn the save.
