Knights Continue Four-Game Home Stand Monday Evening

Knights look to sweep season series from Farmingdale State

Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Basketball team plays the second game of a four-game homestand Monday evening when it welcomes Farmingdale State to the Kaplan Center. Tip-off with the Rams is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. with Live Stats and Video available.

At A Glance: Mount Saint Mary has won its last three games and 11 of its last 12 overall and stands at 15-3 overall on the season and 13-1 in Skyline Conference play. The Knights have been off since a 76-52 home win over Yeshiva on February 1.
 
Morina Bojka (Prospect, Conn.) is in the midst of a standout season for the Mount and leads the team with 17.8 points per game to go along with 8.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.2 steals per tilt. Bojka has scored at least 20 points in a game seven times, including 31 against the Rams on January 26.
 
Katie Smith (Goshen, N.Y.) checks in with 12.5 points per game for the Knights on 49.2-percent shooting and a 40.7-percent mark from three-point range. Smith leads the team in assists with 3.3 helpers per contest and chips in just over two rebounds and a little more than one steal per outing.
 
Annie Keenan (Nesconset, N.Y.), who hauled in 10 offensive rebounds against the Maccabees on February 1, leads the team with just shy of 10 caroms per night and contributes 7.9 points, 2.0 assists and 1.7 steals per contest.
 
Lauren Desrats (Warwick, N.Y.) and Erin Smith (Goshen, N.Y.) support the offense with each scoring better than eight points per game. Desrats adds 3.2 rebounds and just under two assists per game, while Smith paces the team with 33 three-point field goals.

Mount Saint Mary begins the new week averaging 75.3 points per game and is outscoring opponents by an average of 15.5 points per game. The Knights shoot 38.9-percent overall, 30.8-percent from three-point range and 64.1-percent from the free-throw line.
 
Scouting Farmingdale State: The Rams visit the Kaplan Center coming off a 69-47 win over Yeshiva on Thursday, a win that stopped a three-game skid. Farmingdale State holds a 9-8 overall record and an even 7-7 mark against league rivals.
 
Layla Mendoza leads the Rams in scoring with just under 20 points per game on an efficient 54.9-percent shooting. Samantha Muller adds 19.2 points per game and fills the stat sheet with 8.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.5 steals per contest.
 
Kalena Ricketts scores 11.3 points per game and collects a team-high 9.4 rebounds per tilt while Anna Zaborowska adds 9.8 points and 2.2 steals per outing to go along with a team-high 5.4 assists.
 
The Rams are good for 66.4 points per game on 41.1-percent shooting overall, 29.1-percent shooting from three-point range and a 51.6-percent conversion rate from the free-throw line.
 
Previous Meeting: The Knights scored an 82-74 road win on January 26 that saw Bojka pour in 31 points on 12-for-23 shooting and add nine rebounds and four assists. K. Smith scored a career-high 23 points and joined Bojka with four helpers. The Knights shot 45.1-percent from the field overall and canned seven triples in the win.
 
Recent History: The January 26 win was the Mount's sixth straight over the Rams and improved its record in the head-to-head series to 23-12 since the start of the 2007-08 season.
 
What's Next: Mount Saint Mary will play host to the United States Merchant Marine Academy on Wednesday.
