Men’s Basketball Returns Home To Face Purchase

Knights play at Kaplan Center for first time since Jan. 26

Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Men's Basketball team will play its first home game since January 26 on Monday night when it is set to square-off with league rival Purchase. Live Stats and Video will be available for the 8:00 p.m. tip-off from the Kaplan Center.

At A Glance: Mount Saint Mary is coming off a 64-46 road loss at USMMA on Saturday afternoon and enters Monday night's tilt with the Panthers at 5-13 overall and 3-7 against Skyline Conference opponents.
 
Chris Yearwood (Red Hook, N.Y.), who led the Mount with 17 points against the Mariners on Saturday, is the lone Knight scoring in double-figures and is good for 13.5 points per contest. He is shooting just under 41-percent from the floor and converting at an even 40-percent from three-point range while contributing 3.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists.
 
Connor Cyran (Garfield, N.J.) and Jayden Figueroa (New Windsor, N.Y.) are each good for better than nine points per game, with Cyran posting 9.8 points and just under five rebounds per outing. Figueroa scores 9.1 points per game and leads the Knights with 9.6 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per contest.
 
Paul Sienke (Washington, D.C.) contributes 8.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game for the Mount with Ryan Graham (Campbell Hall, N.Y.) chipping in 7.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.6 assists and just over one steal per contest.
 
Mount Saint Mary is scoring just over 62 points per game on the season and is shooting 38.9-percent overall, 29.6-percent from three-point range and 67.4-percent from the free-throw line.
Previewing The Panthers: Purchase visits the Kaplan Center on Monday coming off a 74-65 loss to cross-town rival Manhattanville on Saturday and holds a 4-14 overall record and a 4-7 mark against league rivals.
 
Purchase enters Monday's contest having dropped four of its last five decisions and is averaging 70.4 points per game while shooting 39.1-percent overall, 30.7-percent from three-point range and 71.7-percent from the free-throw line.
 
Recent History: The two teams have met nine times since the start of the 2016-17 season with the Panthers holding a 6-3 edge in the series, including three wins in the last four meetings.
 
What's Next: The Knights will close out the regular season series with Sarah Lawrence on Wednesday night.
