Farmingdale, N.Y. – Playing at preseason favorite Farmingdale State, the Mount Saint Mary College Women's Soccer team dropped a hard fought 3-2 decision to the Rams Saturday afternoon.
Julia Accetura (Prospect, Conn.) scored her first goal of the season, while freshman
Emma Mihale (Oceanside, N.Y.) tallied for the third time in 2022.
Saturday's loss drops Mount Saint Mary to 3-9-2 overall on the season and to 3-3-1 in conference play, while Farmingdale State improves to 5-7-1 overall and a perfect 5-0-0 in league action.
First Half
- The home standing Rams wasted little time opening an early lead, scoring the first goal in the 15th minute.
- Julissa Martinez scored for the fourth time this season off a combination from Alyse Rivera and Jazzmin Terrell at 14:08 for the opening goal of the contest.
