Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Soccer team opens Skyline Conference play with a pair of home matches this week, hosting St. Joseph's-Brooklyn Tuesday night and Manhattanville Saturday afternoon. Live Stats and Video will be available for both Tuesday's 7:00 p.m. kick-off with the Bears and Saturday's 1:00 p.m. contest with the Valiants.

At A Glance: The Knights enter the week with a 1-2-1 overall record and are coming off back-to-back 4-0 defeats to Ithaca and RPI.
Caroline Schrag (Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y.) is the lone goal scorer for the Mount, potting her first career goal in a 1-1 draw at Union on September 5. Freshman Darla Patricca (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) assisted on the Schrag goal, collecting her first career point for the Knights.
The Mount has used a pair of goalkeepers over the first four games of the season, with
Caroline Brucato (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) starting three times. She has played 206:15 of a possible 380:00 to date and has made 28 saves. Brucato holds an .848 save percentage and a 2.18 goals against average for the Knights.
Christinq Kakavas (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) has appeared in two games, including one start, and played 173:45. She has stopped 16 shots and is posting a .800 save percentage and a 2.07 goals against average.
Weekly Honors: Following her first career start, a 14 save shutout against Skidmore in the season opener, Brucato was tabbed the Skyline Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
Scouting St. Joseph's: The Bears head to Newburgh with an unbeaten 3-0-1 overall record and a 1-0-0 mark in league play. St. Joseph's is coming off a high scoring 5-4 overtime win against Purchase on Saturday with Christina Di Bartolo and Mia Castaneda each scoring twice. Di Bartolo scored her second of he game and seventh of the season just over a minute into overtime to send the Bears to victory.
Castaneda leads the Bears through four games with eight goals and is second on the team with 18 points, with Di Bartolo scoring seven times and adding seven assists for a team-high 21 points.
St. Joseph's enters the week with six different players with at least two goals and six different players with at least five points.
In goal, Reem Shaban has seen all the action and has stopped 23 shots. She is posting an .821 save percentage to go along with a 1.18 goals against average.
Viewing The Valiants: Manhattanville enters a Tuesday tilt against Old Westbury with a 2-2-1 overall record and is coming off a 7-1 non-conference loss to New Paltz on Saturday. Ashley Hayes scored the lone goal in the game for Manhattanville, potting her third of the season in the fifth minute.
Hayes is the team leader in goals beginning the week with her three and sits atop the team leaderboard in points with seven. Natalie Aracena, Kelly Barrera and Jennifer Xiong all have scored twice to date with Aracena joining Hayes with a team-high one assist.
Alexa Pyatsky has seen the bulk of action in goal for the Valiants, starting all five games thus far and playing 398:36 of a possible 470:00. She has made 11 saves entering the week and has a .524 save percentage and a 2.26 goals against average.
Recent History: Since 2015, the Mount is unbeaten against St. Joseph's in four meetings and is outscoring the Bears 26-1.
Saturday's meeting with the Valiants will be the first between the two teams since Manhattanville stunned the top-seeded Knights 1-0 in the 2019 Skyline Conference Championship Semifinal. The Knights are 2-1 in the last three meetings with Manhattanville overall, including a 3-0 regular season victory in 2019.
What's Next: Following two conference home games this week, Mount Saint Mary travels to league rivals Sarah Lawrence on September 29 and Maritime on October 1.
