Julia DeSantis (Islip, N.Y.),
KellyAnn Platt (Staten Island, N.Y.) and
Raina Quinones (West Babylon, N.Y.) lead the scoring attack with two goals apiece, while
Brittany Bornstad (Linden, N.J.) paces the team with four assists and six points.
Mount Saint Mary is outscoring its opponents 16-11 to date in 2021 and has yet to allow a goal to a conference opponent.
In goal,
Caroline Brucato (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) and
Christina Kakavas (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) have led the team to a 1.16 goals against average. Brucato has started five contests for the Knights and has stopped 36 shots to go along with an .878 save percentage and a 1.22 goals against average. Kakavas has started four times and is posting an .854 save percentage and a 1.12 goals against a average while stopping 35 shots.
Last Time Out: The Knights scored a 6-0 road win at Maritime Saturday night. DeSantis and Quinones each scored twice for the Mount with DeSantis adding an assist.
Nikki Carter (Southington, Conn.) and
Marilena Mangiaracina (Franklin Square, N.Y.) added the other markers for the Mount.
Brucato and Kakavas combined on the shutout, with Brucato making a pair of stops for the Mount.
A Look At Mount Saint Vincent: The Dolphins head to Newburgh on Tuesday sporting a 3-3-1 overall record and a 2-1-0 mark against league rivals. Mount Saint Vincent is coming off a 2-0 loss to Manhattanville on Saturday.
Emily McCarthy paces the offensive attack for the Dolphins, potting nine goals and assisting on two others for 20 points. Cristina Britton and Alicia Rodriguez have each scored twice through seven games with Amanda Cotroneo and Lilli Marin joining McCarthy for the team lead in assists with two.
In goal, the Dolphins have used four keepers with Kora-Lynn McCullough starting a team-high three games, holding a 1.26 goals against average while making 13 saves. Meagan Meeuwisse has stopped a team-high 15 shots and is posting a .789 save percentage and a 2.31 goals against average.
Previewing The Panthers: Old Westbury heads to Newburgh on Thursday with a 2-6 record overall and an 0-3 mark against league rivals. The Panthers have won two of their last three outings, including a 3-2 victory over Brooklyn College on Monday.
Melanie Escobar leads the team with four goals and nine points, while Mia Almonte has found the back of the net twice.
Four goalkeepers have seen time in goal for the Panthers, led by three starts each from Evelyn Martel and Mallory Moretti. Martel leads the team with 25 saves with Moretti recording 15 stops.
Scouting Farmingdale State: The Rams, who have won the last four conference championships, enter a Tuesday non-conference game with Scranton with a 6-4 overall record and a 3-0 mark against league rivals. Farmingdale State has won two of their last three outings, with the lone blemish coming in a 2-1 overtime loss to Trinity (Texas).
Julissa Martinez and Jazzmin Terrell lead the team with seven goals apiece and have each added two assists for a team-high 16 points. Meagan Murdocco leads the way with five assists for the Rams.
Farmingdale State has used three keepers in goal to date with Lindsey Jolly playing a team-high 432:35 and making a team best 17 saves. Chloe Kensell checks in with 345:41 played with a 0.78 goals against average while making 11 stops.
Recent History: Since 2007, Mount Saint Mary has won each of the 15 meetings with Mount Saint Vincent, allowing only four goals. Most recently, the Knights posted a 4-1 win over the Dolphins in 2019.
Similarly, the Knights are 14-2 in the last 16 meetings against Old Westbury since 2008. The Knights have won the last 13 meetings with their last lost to the Panthers coming in a 1-0 overtime decision in 2010.
The series with Farmingdale State has been a spirited rivalry with the two sides meeting in the Skyline Conference Championship Final three of the last four seasons. The Rams claimed the conference crown each time and most recently the two teams played to a scoreless draw in the 2018 Final with the Rams claiming the conference crown in penalty kicks.
Overall, Mount Saint Mary is 5-13-2 in the last 21 meetings with Farmingdale State with their last win coming 2-1 at home during the 2017 regular season.
