Jersey City, N.J. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Volleyball team had its four-match winning streak stopped on Thursday with a 25-23, 18-25, 19-25, 21-25 non-conference loss on the road at New Jersey City University.
Grace Riddle (Wantagh, N.Y.) finished the night with a team-high 13 kills and recorded a double-double for the Knights.
Thursday's loss drops Mount Saint Mary to 14-12 overall on the season heading into the final weekend of the regular season.
How It Happened
- Mount Saint Mary got off to a good start with a set once victory that featured eight kills.
- The Knights used a 7-0 run to open a 9-4 lead and closed the opening frame with three straight points, including a Jackie Wolf (Kings Park, N.Y.) kill to open a 1-0 lead.
- Each team put away nine kills in the second frame, with NJCU evening the contest after taking advantage of 8-0 and 5-0 runs in the frame.
- The Gothic Knights pulled in front 2-1 in the third after posting an 11-8 advantage in kills.
- A 10-1 run by NJCU, highlighted by four service aces, pushed the Gothic Knights in front 10-2.
- Mount Saint Mary rebounded with 10 kills in the final frame, but saw NJCU record 12 winners and hit .267 as a team.

- Riddle posted a team-high 13 kills, reaching double-figures in winners for the 22nd straight contest. She closed out a double-double effort with 10 digs, adding two blocks and a team-high four service aces.
- Wolf recorded nine kills for the Knights and chipped in seven digs and a pair of aces.
- Renee Hydo (Bethpage, N.Y.) and Sabrina Romano (Glen Cove, N.Y.) each finished with four kills.
- Hydo closed out a strong night with 28 assists and 10 digs for the Mount.
- Alyssa Barbara (Islip Terrace, N.Y.) rounded out the night with a team-high 18 digs.
For The Gothic Knights
- Paola Toledo led all players in the match with 19 kills, adding four blocks.
- Sydney Lore led all players with 36 assists.
- Katrina Nguyendon lifted a team-high 11 digs and recorded a match-high five service aces.

- NJCU closed the night with a 40-35 advantage in kills and hit .148 as a team against a 0.66 showing for the Knights.
