Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Soccer team plays the fourth game of a six-game home stand Saturday afternoon when it plays host to Skyline Conference rival St. Joseph's-L.I. At A Glance: Playing its first game in a week, Mount Saint Mary enters Saturday's tilt with a 6-4-2 overall record and a 5-1-1 mark against league rivals. The Knights are coming off a 4-1 home loss to Farmingdale State last Saturday, stopping a four-game winning streak.
Brittany Bornstad (Linden, N.J.) who helps anchor the Mount's back line, leads the offensive attack for the Mount with five goals, five assists and a team-high 15 points. Bornstad also paces the Mount with a pair of game winning goals.
KellyAnn Platt (Staten Island, N.Y.) has tallied four times for the Knights with

The Knights have used a pair of goalkeepers through the season's first 12 games with
Christina Kakavas (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) appearing in 10 games, seven starts, and playing 687:11. Kakavas has made 46 saves and is sporting an .821 save percentage and a 1.31 goals against average.
Caroline Brucato (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) has seen time in eight games for the Knights in her rookie season, starting five times, and has played 432:39 in goal. Brucato holds an .878 save percentage and a 1.04 goals against average while making 36 saves.
Scouting St. Joseph's: The Golden Eagles come to town on Saturday on a six-game winning streak and with an 8-3 overall record and a 5-1 mark against league rivals. St. Joseph's, who is outscoring opponents 40-1 over its winning streak, is coming off a 4-0 blanking of St. Joseph's-Brooklyn on Wednesday.
Abbey Curcio enters Saturday with a team-high nine goals for the Golden Eagles and adds eight assists for a team-high 26 points. Brooke Esposito and Savannah McMaster have each potted seven goals with Esposito leading the team with nine assists while ranking second on the squad with 23 points.
Madelyn Hunter leads a pair of keepers who have seen time between the pipes and holds the team leader in saves with 20. Hunter is posting a 1.31 goals against average and a .690 save percentage in 616:33 of action. Mikayla Ritter has seen 392:34 of time in goal and has stopped 12 shots.
Conference Leaders: Bornstad enters the weekend in a tie for eighth place in total assists among the Skyline Conference leaders, while Kakavas begins the weekend as the league's leader in save percentage among eligible goalkeepers.
St. Joseph's features the league leader in assists in Esposito with Curcio entering the weekend in a tie for sixth in the league in overall goals.
Recent History: Since 2007, the Knights and Golden Eagles have hooked up 20 times with the Mount holding a 13-6-1 record. The Knights are 5-0-1 in their last six meetings with the Golden Eagles, including a 3-0 win in Newburgh in the 2019 regular season finale.
