Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Volleyball team pushed its winning streak to four matches on Saturday with victories over visiting William Paterson and John Jay. The Knights topped the Pioneers in four sets by scores of 25-19, 18-25, 25-20, 25-17 before sweeping the Bloodhounds 25-11, 25-21, 25-21. Prior to the second match of the day, the program honored

Mount Saint Mary 3 – William Paterson 1
The Knights opened the day with a four set victory over William Paterson in a match they hit .205 and totaled 55 kills. The Mount hit at least .178 in each set that it won against the Pioneers, including an efficient .316 in the third frame.
Freshman
Grace Riddle (Wantagh, N.Y.) led a trio of Knights in double-figures in kills with a match-high 21 for the Knights. It marked the eighth straight match she was in double-figures in winners and the third time this season she has reached at least 20 kills. Riddle hit .314 in the match and rounded out the win with two aces, a block and 16 digs.
Burke returned to the lineup in strong fashion against William Paterson, putting away 11 kills while hitting .357 for the Mount. She led the Mount with three service aces to go along with two blocks and five digs.
Renee Hydo (Bethpage, N.Y.) also totaled 11 kills against the Pioneers, marking a season-high in winners. She finished off a double-double with 10 digs, adding a service ace and a block. Fellow junior
Danielle Kralik (Bedford Hills, N.Y.) chipped in six kills and three digs in the win.
Mazzurco led the Knights with 28 assists in the win to go along with two kills and seven digs, while freshman
Fran Cammarata (Carmel, N.Y.) helped on 19 winners and lifted four digs. Sophomore
Alyssa Barbara (Islip Terrace, N.Y.) matched her career-high with 27 digs, with
Klaire Wall (Point Pleasant, N.Y.) lifting 12 digs for the Mount.
William Paterson received 10 kills from Jamie O'Shea with Alyson Toman chipping in with nine winners. Kristen Volavka led all players with 31 assists and closed a double-double with 16 digs, with Kyla Sebello leading the Pioneers with 17 digs.
Mount Saint Mary finished the win with a 55-38 advantage in kills and posted a 10-2 advantage in service aces. Total team blocks in the match were even at 3-3.
Mount Saint Mary 3 – John Jay 0
The Knights closed out the day with a straight set win over the Bloodhounds, limiting John Jay to just a -.036 attack percentage. The Knights totaled 19 kills and 15 service aces in the victory, with John Jay committing 23 attack miscues.
Riddle led the team in kills with eight, seeing her string of eight straight match in double-figures in kills come to a close. She led the team with five service aces and added five digs to the winning effort.
Burke totaled five kills in the win for the Mount and added a pair of blocks, while Kralik finished off two winners and added four aces and four digs.
Mazzurco led the team with 16 assists and also contributed two aces and five digs. Barbara paced the squad with 10 digs with Hunt contributing five digs and a kill to the victory.
John Jay was led by eight winners from Mirialis Almanzar with Kimberly Rodriguez pacing the team with 14 assists. Stephany Chhay lifted a team-high 10 digs in the loss for the Bloodhounds.
John Jay finished the match with a slim 20-19 advantage in kills and a 4-2 edge in total team blocks, while the Knights dominated the service game with a 15-4 advantage in aces.
Saturday's sweep improves Mount Saint Mary to 11-16 overall on the season. The Mount returns to conference play on Tuesday when it travels to Yeshiva for an 8:00 p.m. match with the Maccabees.
