Knights Conclude Three Game Home Stand Against Manhattanville, Sarah Lawrence

Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Soccer team wraps up a three game home stand against Manhattanville on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. and Sarah Lawrence in a Skyline contest on Saturday at 3 p.m.

At a Glance: The Knights are 4-4-1 (1-0 Skyline) on the season after shutting out NYU, 2-0, at home on Saturday.

Julia DeSantis scored her second goal of the season and Alexa Franceschi scored her first of the season to put the Knights in the victory column.

Liz Ellsworth returned to action, making four saves to secure the shutout victory on her way to being named the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week for the second time this year.

A Look At Manhattanville: The Valiants are 2-4-1 on the season following the shutout of SUNY Maritime, 3-0, on Saturday.

Joanna Karp leads the team in points with three (1 goal, 1 assist) and four other players have one goal each to balance the scoring.

Alexa Pyatsky has started six of the seven games in net. She has posted a GAA of 0.83 with 36 saves for the season.

Previewing Sarah Lawrence: The Gryphons are 2-2-1 this season following their 2-1 loss to Mount Saint Vincent on Saturday. They will play Old Westbury on Monday and SUNY Purchase on Wednesday before facing Mount Saint Mary on Saturday.

Kiley Ritter leads the team in points with 12 (6 goals, 1 assist) and Tiffany McBrayer is second with eight (3 goals, 2 assists).

Madison Mertsch has started all five games, posting a GAA of 0.92 and making 18 saves for the season.

What's Next: The Knights begin a two game road trip against Mount Saint Vincent on Tuesday, October 2 at 4:30 p.m.
