Schenectady, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Soccer team suffered its third consecutive loss of the season on Saturday, losing by a score of 2-0 against Union College.
The Dutchmen scored twice from the penalty spot to earn the victory. Paige Sherling scored the eventual game-winner in the 47
th minute. Maggie Weichert scored the second goal of the game at the 72
nd minute mark.
Cassidy Rykowski started her second straight game in net for the Knights. She made seven saves in the loss. Kelsey Hartsoe earned the shutout victory in goal for Union.
Union outshot the Knights, 21-4, also holding the shots on goal advantage, 9-1. The Dutcwomen held a 4-1 corner kicks advantage as well.
Chrissy Cannella had the lone shot on goal for Mount Saint Mary.
At 2-3-1 overall on the season, Mount Saint Mary plays their first Skyline contest of the season against Yeshiva tomorrow night at 8:30.
