Women's Soccer Closes Regular Season At #22 Farmingdale State

Knights and Rams enter contest unbeaten in league play

Newburgh, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women's Soccer team plays its final regular season game on the road against #22 Farmingdale State on Wednesday. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 pm, with the winner of this game will earn the top seed in the Skyline Conference Tournament.

At a Glance: The Knights are 12-4-1 (8-0 Skyline) on the season after shutting out both Old Westbury and Maritime, 5-0.
Maeve O'Sullivan (Garden City Park, N.Y.) and Theresa Stinson (Troy, N.Y.) are tied for the team lead in goals with seven. Gina Rivera (Washingtonville, N.Y.), O'Sullivan, and Stinson are tied for the points lead with 16.

Cassidy Rykowski (Sloatsburg, N.Y.) is 9-2-0 on the season, posting a GAA of 1.01, making 31 saves on the year.

A Look At Farmingdale State: The Rams are 14-3-2 (8-0 Skyline) this season after a 4-1 victory over Mount Saint Vincent on Monday and found themselves ranked #22 in Tuesday United Soccer Coaches Poll.

Julissa Martinez is the goals leader with nine and Tara Lyons is second on eight. Three other players have six goals apiece. Lyons holds the assist lead with six and the points lead with 22.

Daniella Ford has started every game this season, posting a GAA of 0.62, making 72 saves on the season.
 
What's At Stake: For the second straight season the two teams meet in the regular season finale unbeaten with the top seed in the conference championship and home field throughout the event at stakes. The Knights won last year's regular season meeting 2-1 with a pair of second half goals proving to be the difference.
 
What's Next: The Knights will have a first round bye in the Skyline Conference Championship and will host a semifinal contest on Wednesday, October 31. Opponent and time is TBA.
